I've been busy making Valentine's gifts for a few day now- no sooner was Christmas over than I was thinking about the next celebration. And what better to warm us in the cold month of February than a celebration of love?
My knitted hearts shrink a great deal as you can see. I knit them big and then wash them in hot water to transform them into plumtious, cuddlesome hearts. I've been trying my hand at needle felting too- that's how I apply the words to the dry felt heart before string them together to make the garlands.
This is today's batch of knitted hearts, all stuffed and sew up ready to go in the wash to be shrunk.
I'll show you how I needle felt them soon.
I do have the pattern for knitting and felting these small medium and large hearts in my Ravelry shop just in case you want to have a try for yourself ;)

About Me
- Claire Fairall
- . I love to create, always have... even as a child I was always up to my ears in fabric, yarn, paper and glue. So now I create bags, the process I use developed over time, and is still changing, each new wool or design presents it's own challenge. So I don't get bored. Craft Shows are so much fun, meeting folk, both customers and other crafters. I always get such a buzz when we are setting up and a plain old marquee or hall gets transformed into an arcade of interesting creations.
